PASTORAL CARE

Welcome back. I hope you had a peaceful holiday. We are about to finish the third week of Term 3.

We had a good start to Pastoral Care. Boys had fun during the soccer match after school. They were happy as they had HSP (Halal Snack Pack) in advance. That really helped them to keep the tempo high as long as they played.

Girls, of course, had a different activity with their teacher. They have learnt how to cook a Turkish meal, which is called “Menemen”. At the beginning, they all had their own chopping boards, tomatoes and capsicums. They already knew how to dice them and they prepared these for cooking. Then they put them together into a frying pan. They took turns to stir throughout the process. At the end, they cracked eggs in it. After a couple of minutes, Menemen was ready to eat and they ate it with pleasure. They enjoyed themselves while cooking. It was a good experience for each of them.
